There's also a new writing pad feature, with support for multi-device functionality and the app is still in beta so some are expected and more features will be implemented in the future. The app itself is based on the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) and notifications work even if the app is closed.
"The app is a beta version, but we have tested it and it’s incredibly stable because it is native and it uses less resources than WhatsApp Desktop, even if some features are still missing: it’s a very good replacement for the current WhatsApp Desktop app," the platform said.
According to WAbetainfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp, revealed that the new Windows app requires multi-device features, so it doesn’t need your phone to be connected to the Internet to work.
